Aunty Barbara
Aunty Barbara came to visit. Evie doesn't look to happy about it in the picture but she does love visitors and especially Barbara. She gets bored with just Mum all day. Aunty Barbara just dotes on Evie so Evie loves the extra attention. Barbara tries to teach Evie to make new sounds and tricks.

At the Park
This is "Evie's Park", there is never anyone else there so we always have the place to ourselves. She is not quite sure of the slide yet but she loves taking her socks off and sucking them! Who needs to buy expensive toys?!

Evie loves going on the swing. Kenny has put up a swing under our balcony for her but she still gets really excited when she is on the swing at the park.
We went to the park with Siobhan over Easter and Evie said her first word ... "Dadda". It's true! Siobhan was there to witness it! Kenny's pretty chuffed with his wee girl knowing her Dadda.

Easter Visitors
Over Easter we had a full house. Kenny's Aunt and Uncle, Mona and Lesley Budge came to stay for a night. They were nearing the end of their New Zealand holiday and it was great to be able to spend some time with them. Fantastic that they got to meet Evie! We also had Evie's Godmother, Siobhan, come up for a couple of nights. Evie thrived on all the attention!

Waipara Wine and Food Festival
We took Evie out for the day to the wine and food festival, Kenny was playing at a session there. She had a great day and really enjoyed watching the "Natural Magic Show" which is a puppet show . She enjoyed hearing her Daddy play as well, naturally. But she just loves watching other children and she thought the puppeteer / clown guy was hilarious!

On the changing mat ...Here's a shot I took of Evie this morning enjoying a stretch and a reasonably loud sing-song before getting dressed. Now that we've finished daylight saving, it's lighter earlier in the mornings so Anna and I get more time to spend with a fully awake Evie before we head off to work. And that means more photo shoots!
The first teeth :)
And here's Evie in the afternoon showing off her first two teeth! We haven't had too much trouble with teething but it certainly has kept her (and us) awake from time to time.
We've even had to start putting a wee bit of toothpaste on her teeth to stop any decay. I'm finally going to get the chance to see what a "pea-sized amount" of toothpaste looks like on a toothbrush.
Day at Home
Granny and Grandad Orkney bought Evie this activity table before they left New Zealand. Evie was a peedie bit too small to play with it when they were here but now she loves it. She isn't quite able to pull herself up yet, she usually sits on my knee, but she will start trying soon.

Kenny has just put a swing up for Evie under our front balcony. Evie loves going to the park for a swing but sometimes we don't have time or the weather isn't the best so having her own swing is magic!
