Spring Bug

I joined the Toy Library today for Evie and I rented this toy for her for the next couple of weeks. She loves it but her feet don't quite touch the ground for her to be able to bounce herself so some mug has to sit beside her and bounce her! Guess who the mug usually is! It's worth it though just to see her smile!

chocolate fish

Evie went on a cafe crawl today. We went to 4 cafes so she was getting a little tired towards the end of the day, nothing that a chocolate fish couldn't help with though. It was her first chocolate and she got more around her face than in her mouth I think.

Allergy testing

We went back to the paediatrician to get more tests done on Evie today. She seems to be able to tolerate more food than a few months ago but still reacted to peanut and egg and has developed an allergy to dust mites - yippee! She was such a good wee girl though and sat happily in the plastic tub while we waited for a reaction to show, which wasn't long, and while we discussed my housekeeping skills! Not really, I just had a minor panic!

Back home again. Right as rain and happy playing with Dadda

Bath Time

Evie had a big bath tonight and was fascinated watching the water filling into the bath. She looks like a big girl standing up now!

First Cake

It was another first for Evie today, not a very healthy one though. I thought I would try and make an egg free and wheat free cake for Evie as I will need one for her birthday. I am glad I tried it before the day as it was a bit of a flop. It didn't worry Evie though as it still seemed to be quite aerodynamic and then she had the double fun of watching me vacuum afterwards.

At the Park

It was 21 degrees this afternoon so we thought we would go for a walk into Rangiora and take Evie to the park there. Evie went on the swings then we had a picnic lunch. We didn't lose the shoe either by the way, we just got tired of having to put it back on so admitted defeat and just left it off! Much easier! Evie still loves being on our shoulders although she gets a bit rough as you can tell by Kenny's expressions!

First Ever Sweetie!

I went and found some nice gluten free marshmallows for Evie to chomp on, or suck might be more appropriate. I can't believe how long it takes to eat something so small! She enjoyed them anyway - we were feeling nostalgic about Christmas at the time! Ah hah but it is when we celebrate mid-winter Christmas here so maybe we aren't so stupid!?? I'll just shut up then ...
