Boxing Day

We opened a few parcels with Evie in bed together on Boxing Day morning. She was pretty excited when she saw the Santa lollipop from Granny and had to start eating it straight away.
Daddy got a kiss for a present from him.

Evie opened a few parcels in the living room with Daddy later on in the day.

It was such a lovely eveing that we ate our dinner outside. Evie was helping to feed Daddy.


Evie stills like to eat with her fingers on the odd occasion, although rice can get a little messy!

Christmas Day

We started the day off opening the Christmas stocking. Evie had put it out with us the night before for Santa to fill.


This is Evie's new doll's house. We'd put the dolls and furniture in her stocking and then "unveiled" the dolls house later, it was too big to wrap! We didn't give her anymore presents at home this morning as she was too busy playing with the dolls house and wasn't much interested in anything else.






Then late morning we put on our Santa hats and went to Fernside for our Christmas dinner and to see the cousins.

Then home in the evening after a very busy day!!! Still with presents under the tree to open tomorrow!!

Christmas Party

These are just a couple of photos of Evie at her Playcentre end of year Christmas Party. Somehow we managed to get Kenny to come along to it with us both! She had lots of fune dancing to the music and eating junk food!

Santa Parade

Today Evie went to the Santa Parade with Nan, Moana and Liberty in Rangiora.


Evie had a great time and waved to all the floats and called out to the children. She was still talking about it when we put her to bed in the evening. We then went to the party in the park and Evie continued the fun dancing to the live music.

Playcentre Outing

Our Playcentre group went to Waikuku Beach for our end of year outing. This is me with my friend Fiona and her wee girl Evie who is the same age as Evie. Evie was obviously more interested in her bag of crisps!


After playing at the beach we went to the Beach park and the girls loved paddling in the pool there. Evie's highlight though was the whale! This is her and Emma sitting on the whale's tail.

Christmas Tree

This is our Christmas tree this year, I decided to go for a pink theme!! I found some nice pink decorations in a second hand shop and thought "Kenny will love these!"

Evie was very excited putting up the tree and got dressed for the occasion! She was very helpful putting the decorations on and we have some of her decorations she made at playcentre on it.

Isn't she just the angel under the Christmas tree though?

Evie's tent

It was a lovely warm morning so I pitched Evie's tent for her under the shade of a tree and put a box of her toys in it for her to play with. The novelty actually lasted a while so I took out some refreshments for morning tea!!

New Dressing Gown!?

Nan bought this for Evie and Evie loves wearing it - I'm just not sure what it's meant to be! It's a lovely dressing gown but I'm confused as to why it would have a beret! Oh well, a girl needs to accessorise!

Garden seat!

Kenny and I were busy in the garden today and Evie came out to help! She decided that the wood chopping block looked like a comfortable seat!

A Hot Day

Evie was trying on a new shoe which was still too big for her, but she like wearing one of them with her sandal!


It got really hot today so I put the sprinkler system on at the side of the house and Evie had loads of fun running through it. Kenny and I also had to take turns doing it with her!

First "Coffee"

Kenny and I had a cappucino this morning and of course as soon as Evie saw the frothed milk she wanted some. So I made her a "coffee" of just frothed milk and she thought she was very smart! I sprinkled some chocolate on top too which was probably the best part!

Guy Fawke's Night

The Big Bed

This is Evie's fist night sleeping in a single bed! She looked so peedie!! She thought she was very clever in it and she slept through the night no bother. There was getting to be very little room for her in the cot with all of her toys that she likes to take to bed with her now!

Evie's Chair

Nan bought Evie a deck chair and now it is her favourite seat! She loves parking up there to watch TV or just to chill out!!

Opening Parcels

Evie loved opening her parcel from Orkney today. She was very excited about the stickers in her Barney book and also seeing the photos of her friends and family in Orkney.
