Water Painting and Picnic

It was such a lovely Spring day that Aunty Shona put some water into a bucket and her and Evie sat out in our car parking area and did some "painting". Evie had great fun!








We then went for a walk to Victoria Park and had a picnic lunch.

Orana Park

Shona, Graham and I went to Orana Wildlife Park with Evie and Aedan today. Evie really enjoyed feeding the animals the farmyard.


The lions were really close sitting along the edge of the enclosure. Evie then gave us frequent choruses of songs from The Lion King for the rest of the visit!

We caught feeding time with the giraffes. Evie actually fed one from her hand but got bit of a fright when its tongue licked her hand.

Golf

We went into Christchurch today for a game of mini-golf with Kenny at lunch time. Evie had her own ball and club, she got more hole in ones than any of us as she'd hit the ball once then pick it up and drop it in the hole!

Cuddly Boy

His hair is just so fuzzy!! And he's just so smiley!

Evie's swing set

Evie played on her new swing and slide today.

The glide swing on the far right hasn't been put up yet because one of the plastic seats is cracked so we have to get a replacement. Evie's happy with the set, the first thing she did when she woke up this morning was look out the window to see if it was still there.

Swing Set

We bought Evie a swing set this weekend and the boys went to pick it up today. Evie was on it straight away and didn't wait for it to be assembled!



This is the Boat Swing which seems to be Evie's favourite swing and she likes the idea of having a friend sit opposite her.

Race Day

We all went to the Rangiora Races today and had a magic day!

A Garden Gnome

Evie, Shona and Graham had a fun time playing with a ball in the garden this afternoon. It turned into a game of hide and go seek.





Aedan just sat back and took it easy inside in the sun!

Sympathy for Grandad

Evie bandaged her leg in sympathy for Grandad today who has his leg in plaster...I took a bit of dramatic license with the head bandage! Aedan was just crying in sympathy...


then Evie joined in...


but it all ended happily!

Bored already...

and also having serious misgivings about his sister!

Evening smiles

Aedan is such a smiley happy boy! It doesn't take much to get a smile from him and he smiles when he just sees Evie!

Willowbank with Shona and Graham

We went to Willowbank today with Shona and Graham. One of the highlights was definitely feeding the eels, although I'm not sure if Shona thought it was! Evie was a bit scared of them this time as well, she hadn't seen them come out of the water before.



Graham and Shona bought a bag of food so we could feed the farm yard animals, first up was the ostrich.

Evie is very good at jumping like a wallaby or as she calls them "wobbalies"... "boing boing".
