A New Favourite

Evie has discovered the joys of eating spaghetti! After she finished her bowl she helped Kenny finish his!!

Chilling with Dadda

Evie loves her time with Kenny when he gets home from work. Usually they hang out together playing a game but here they are eating watermelon on my new couch cover/food protector!

Clean Teeth!

Kenny cleans Evie's teeth every night. She is used to it happening now and calls out "Teeth!" to Kenny when she is ready for him! She likes to have a go at dooing the job herself as well!

Wormy needs her teeth cleaned sometimes too! (We really need to think of a nicer name for that toy!)


Tops and bottoms get done!

Bubbas

Evie gets excited whenever the camera comes out now because she knows she can look at the bubbas on the back screen! These next two photos were her waiting to see the bubba!
She wasn't too happy in this photo because she was wanting to hold the camera. The photo is really blurry, I know, but it is the only photo I have of a very typical Evie Shona frown!

Evie loves looking at the photo albums now and trying to say people's names. The pages are mostly full of a particular baby though - surprise surprise! Nan bought her the t-shirt and I have a feeling it is going to be as true in Orkney as it has been in NZ!

Her favourite toy!

I bought a 1980's glow worm from a neighbour when they had a garage sale and it has become Evie's favourite toy. She calls it "murmy" and takes it to bed and carries it around the place for a while when she gets up. Sometimes I get excited thinking that she wants a cuddle with her mummy only to discover that I'm second fiddle to a worm!

Sleeping positions

Every night Kenny and I look in on Evie before we go to bed, as I am sure most parents do! We always have a laugh at the positions she gets herself into but goodness knows how she could be asleep and comfortable like this!

Willowbank...again!

It was a lovely day so after Evie woke from her nap we went to Willowbank for a wander. She loves all the farmyard animals as well as the ducks, still her favourite!.



I took Evie's "Playcenter" lunchbox and we had a picnic there. She just seems like such a big girl now with her own lunchbox!

First Barbeque

We went to my niece's engagement party today. Evie had a great time playing with the other children her age, well, mostly she was running away from a boy a couple of months older than her with a cleaning fettish who just kept trying to wipe her face!!As if she cares about stuff like that!

Waitangi Day

Today is a national holiday and when Evie and I went to the supermarket in the morning we met up with the vintage car club's rally. They were starting in the RSA carpark across the road. This is Evie with a 1930 Model A Ford and owner!

We went out to Mum and Dad's to cut some firewood and Greg and the cousin's arrived- much to Evie's delight! Well, she was happy about it!

Evie has been a little smoochy and clingy today because she got her shots yesterday. She is still wearing her plaster to remind everyone to be gentle and patient with her! Anyway when she got home she only wanted some time out watching her Pooh Bear movie with Pooh Bear!
