Kaikoura Holiday

We went to Kaikoura last weeekend for a wee break. We stopped off at a a place called St Anne's Lagoon on the way there. It was a lovely spot and all the daffodils were in flower.






Then we went through Kaikoura to a seal lookout and a waterfall walk. At this time of year the young seals swim up the creek and play about underneath the waterfall. There were only 3 seals there that we saw but it was still cool!



Then we went to our "new home" for the night which Evie really loved because it was right across the road from the beach and also a play park.


Kenny and Evie went for a paddle in the water and they saw a school of little fish splashing about in the water which Evie wanted to follow.

First Food

We thought that we would try and give Aedan solids this evening, he wasn't too sure about it!

The Fiddler's Three!

Evie's fiddle arrived in the mail today! She loves it and she plays tunes for me to sing a long to. Her favourite tune to play is "Can You Feel the Love Tonight", no surprises there! You do need to use your imagination a bit to hear the tune though! But she gets the timing right...I think, I might be biased! Not bad for a three year old!

Bedtime Stories

Aedan really enjoys sitting up with Evie and listening to her bedtime story. He could be grizzling then as soon as I start reading a story he is quiet and looks at the book and plays with the pages.
Evie really enjoys his company now and they are fast becoming good friends!

Liberty and Aedan

Liberty stayed the night at our place and doted on Aedan most of the weekend! This photo was just before bedtime.

Aedan's Busy Day

Aedan just relaxing on his mat in the morning, he likes to hold rattles now and Evie is very good at choosing rattles for him to play with!

I put Aedan in the Jolly Jumper for the first time today. He just loves it! He grizzles when he's lying down sometimes now and stops when he's in his jumper. Evie likes to "help" him jump as well!

Evie wanted to put the Ladybird head on Aedan.

Shona and Graham's Last Night

It was bit of a mad house around here at times and I don't know who was the worst!








Doug and Louise visited briefly to have a home brew with Graham and to say Cheerio.

Then Mum took some photos of us!



Graham was usually the main cuddler/carrier of Aedan in the evenings before Aedan went down to bed. Aedan got quite fond of being cuddled to sleep and will miss Graham when he goes back to Orkney!!

Party Girl

We had a small party for Evie on the Sunday before Shona and Graham left. Evie really likes Ariel the little mermaid so I made a cake and put a mermaid on top! Seemed to do the trick!
