Little Angel!

Evie just looks so cute in this dress that Siobhan made her that I had to put this photo of her wearing it on the blog.

On the Beach

The long awaited swimwear shoot!! We went down to the beach nearly every morning we were staying at the beach. It was quite unpleasant down there for toddlers in the afternoon as it got a really chilly on shore wind. But it was bustling with littlies in the morning. Evie loved running along the sand.

She went out with me in the shallow waves but it was full tide so even the small waves were coming in quite deep. I got very wet on this particular morning!

She got a little unsure of the water after a while and would run in when the water was out and then run out when the waves came in! Does that make sense?!

This is us with our new friend "Dude". He appeared from nowhere with a stick and was our dearest friend until his owner came looking for him. Apparently he is known to jump out their window to find some sucker at the beach to throw sticks into the water for him. Well... it was his lucky day!!

Evie also had a close encounter with a shag.

Going Paddling

Mum and I took Evie for a paddle this morning. This was the first time I had really taken Evie into the waves. Doug had taken Evie to the beach yesterday morning and she didn't get wet then but just played in the sand.

To the Park

Today we walked down to the park which is at the beach. Evie loves the slide and watching the ducks and swans. It was a chilly wind so we didn't make it onto the actual beach today - save that for tomorrow!

The Trampoline!

Kenny and I are staying at Waikuku Beach at the moment house sitting my brother's house while he and his family are away. We hadn't even been there 5 minutes before Evie discovered the trampoline. She just loves it and stands at the side of it calling out waiting to be lifted onto it.

She wants to be on it whenever she is outside! I think we might need to make space for one in our garden!

Pig Tails!

I put Evie's hair up today and managed to get some photos of her before she ripped them out!

This is where we feed Evie all the time now! Very easy for cleaning up!! She loves it when I sit on the other side of her and we eat together.

Another Busy Day

Evie was working hard about the house this morning, moving toys from room to room and rearranging her bookcase! I grabbed these photos during her lunch break!

We went to the park this afternoon to meet the cousins and Aunty Barbara for her birthday party! Evie got fussed over by her cousins and she dragged them all around the park.

Evie got really grubby knees from coming down the slide and landing on the bark. She just got grubby in general and I really don't know how she managed it!!

Special Card

Evie is reading her special card she received today from Aunty Shona! She was very impressed with it...

...I'm sure it's fashionable to show a little bit of tummy. If not it soon will be once Paris sees these shots!

It was really warm today so at the end of the day we took a walk to Matawai Park , a native tree reserve in Rangiora. Evie looks like quite the hiker!!

A Home Day

We had a quiet day today and stayed home. Evie got out her favourite "bubba's" which are her Betty Spaghetti dolls. She loves dragging them around the house with her, you never know where a body part is going to turn up!

Evie also enjoyed an ice cream today!! I was a bit peeved as I usually eat what she can't but she ate the whole thing today!!

Going Home

The festival ended too soon! Evie had had a lovely weekend and everything had gone perfectly for her and us! Siobhan visited to say goodbye to us in the morning, well,we know who she really came to see!

We stopped in Oamaru on the way home for lunch. Evie loves chips so she munched through a bag of those!

She also took the opportunity to pick us some more flowers!

We stopped in Rakaia Gorge as well and Evie enjoyed throwing stones into the river.

She then went on some walking tracks with Kenny.

The journey home was just one long photo shoot!!
